9.00 (very good) I didn't realize when I started this series that it was going to be so long. I loved the voice actors (Junichi Suwabe~) but the storyline was kinda weird. I dunno, guess it just wasn't my thing. But anyways, it was really good and held my attention for most of the time :D It's different, not quite something someone else has done before.

9.50 (excellent) The 2012 remake was definitely better, but the original also had a moving story line and great sexual confrontations.

8.00 (good) Very CLAMP :) I think it was nice to see a competition anime with GIRLS. Usually it's always the guys controlling the monsters or the cards or the disks or WHATEVER, but the main character in this one was a girl so I was happy about that. Figures CLAMP would take a common idea and take it a step further. Well, all in all it was a great series, though now that I'm older I doubt I could watch it again xD Just too childish.

8.75 (very good) This series began normally and I didn't really notice ything too different, but as the story went on I realized it was one of a kind. The main character is a guy who sees his dead friend's ghost. That in itself is pretty different from normal animes. I love the friendship theme going on. If they took out the romance I would enjoy it more though, as if the only strong relationships involve dating or soemthing. Friendship is a lot stronger than that so I think they should have focused only on friendship. Other than that of course it's a great series. Great art, great characters, great storyline.

9.25 (very good) This series played out very well! It had a wtf ending that didn't follow the manga at all, which was very disappointing though. Overall I liked it and found it fun to watch. The plot I believe is rather typical, but even so, it was a great find :)

7.50 (good) The series is good if you like twisted killer animes, but I think it revolved around sex too much to the point where I feel like one of the characters was there just so there could be a tone of innuendos and fanservice. I don't know, maybe it's because I'm a girl that isn't very attractive to me. Took away from the character development.

7.50 (good) Wtheck, I heard this was a children's show!!! Thank goodness the anime wasn't as risque as the manga. But seriously, I KNOW this is a great series but I never really got the point of the whole thing. Like, why did she lose her memories? Why can't they just build another chobits? WHY THE HELL DOES HER VAGINA TURN HER OFF??? All these things are just kinda like wtf moments to me. Don't get me wrong it's a great series but... let's be honest, it was as much hentai as CLAMP could get, I think they were just bored or something I swear. The series was WAY too dirty, it revolved around love and sex too much.

9.50 (excellent) The manga was amazing, but the anime was weird, it didn't follow the storyline very well and made a weird ending :/ I mean, come on, it was TOTALLY different! They could have waited a ltitle while to make the series, what a disappointment. And it pisses me off more that ppl think it's such a great series without even reading the Manga, come on people. Chrno Crusade was the first series I ever found on my own and the first mangas I bought, so I'm VERY attached to it.

9.00 (very good) Love it >.< e only cried in two anime series: Clannad and Fruits Basket. The first season of Clannad was, in a word, lacking. However, two/three YEARS later I took up the second season and I was blown away. I was crying nearly every episode. To watch the characters grow and mature into adults and see them struggle with family and physical hardships was tear-jerking. The father son relationship was my favorite, I think the series really revealed struggles we all face.

8.00 (good) Very good series, though ended quite suddenly... (predictable) I guess they stoppedfore the manga was done? I don't know what happened, but really what's the point of watching an anime with no conclusion? It was just fighting, fighting, fighting and then last episode saying "And they continued to fight" basically. Whatever, it was good and had great potential, I just wish the series had gone on more. The voice acting was really good!

8.00 (good) Little different from the manga but very good! It was one of the first series I watched and I was hooked. I guess what makes it different is that it's about angels stealing stuff? I dunno, it seemed like it took all these different concepts we've seen before (light vs. dark, the bad guy being the good guy, love triangles) and mashed them all together to make a really unique storyline. The eng dub actually wasn't that good, but probably because it had vic mignogna in it, and he's a great voice actor.

9.25 (very good) This was the first anime series I found, watched, and loved on my own. It's really good, I recommend it to all! It's so different from what we're used to, you know, all that stupid corny love/comedy stuff. It's not a typical anime, you know? It's very serious, dark, and almost stressful! The main character is so full of turmoil it's hard to make an opinion of him at all. As for the second and third season, they weren't all that great. Er, well I guess the third season (actually just 4 ep OVA I believe) enlightened the background of one of the characters a little, but I think the first season alone was what really deserves kudos.

Deadman Wonderland

Last Updated: Jul 31, 2011

9.50 (excellent) How may animes do you know about prison? Exactly. I don't think there's like any, MAYBE one or two. Deadman Wonderland is just plain different. The main character is annoying as heck but the storyline is fascinating. I love the art and the greatest thing about it is the setting, of course. It takes place in an amusement park run like a prison for criminals. It's dark yet amusing, bright yet gory. It's just a messload of things, very very interesting. But yeah, the characters kinda suck, I don't like any of them.

8.00 (good) Slow start but good finish. I really don't know if this was a fantasy anime or not. Everything is realistic and no magic or anything... then you get to Celty. Most random character EVER. She's some magical chic without a head? Wtf? Why did they need that in the anime? I LOVE Celty but, plain fact of the matter, she's a random presence in the anime! But whatever, GREAT voice acting, GREAT plot, GREAT art. Overall it was a great anime, and it held my attention, something that gets difficult in most animes.

Last Updated: Feb 18, 2012

7.50 (good) Little too gory, almost makes things commical to me :) I mean, does blood really need to fly that far? Is that REALLY neccessary? No, it's not. And do all the chics REALLY have to be naked? I mean, come on, it was a nice storyline I guess but the excessive ecchi and gore content made it pathetic. I don't really know what the point of the whole anime is either. I remember when I watched it the first time I was sucked in and mesmerized but now looking back on it, what about that series was so freaking appealing? Hmm...

6.50 (above average) I think this series is... hmm... How should I say... maybe will soon become one of the greats? Like Bleach. Naruto, and One Piece. The series like never ends and the plot is inconsistent, but hey, it's pretty funny and kid-friendly (most of the time). The art is average.

Fruits Basket

10.00 (excellent) This anime is the only anime that seriously made me cry. I mean, SERIOUSLY. I was so devestated to find that they never made a second season. I mean, come on, the series would sell millions if they continued. I don't know about Japan, but in the US it was the number one selling manga, EVERYONE loves Fruits Basket, it's a classic everyone needs to see. Every character represents a hardship we ALL face. Family, love, friendship, death... It's a powerful series with a message and it conveys the message both tenderly and passionately. FB FTW!

7.25 (above average) The Fumoffu series is hilarious XD To be honest I wasn't even paying attention in the regular series but the fumoffu was really entertaining. High school is rough, but even rougher trying to keep a military personell like Souske under control, hahahaha. I forget the rest of the peoples' names but the blonde dude is my fav of course. The eng dub was actually pretty good, I preferred it over the jap dub, which is rare. Anyways, overall funny and I guess the regular TV series was serious yet funny so I'm sure it was good too.

6.00 (average) Average series, Yuu Watase is one of my favorite manga authors. he series is one of the classics, one that everyone should see. You know, CLASSICS, the animes that inspired hundreds of mangas afterwards. When I watched it as a kid I thought I was so grown-up because of some of the sexual tension throughout the series, haha, but looking back on it, the series wasn't that sexual. Anyways, it's a good series and I'm sure has a lot of inner-workings with Japan's history. I definately recommend it.

Last Updated: Jun 09, 2011

7.00 (above average) Pretty cute. Miyazaki, as we all know, is a FABULOUS director. Although Ponyo was well received and apealed to most audiences, I felt it was lacking the intense magic and adventure of his previous movies. It was slow-paced and... well yeah, just boring. Not THAT boring, but mildly boring. It's a good movie to watch when you're with a lot of people who chat during a movie. But overall it's cute and a nice change from the senseless retarded American movies for kids.

9.00 (very good) More accurate to the book than the movie I think, if you ignore the fact that it's in the future, has aliens, and more characters. The series really isn't for people under 18 I think. You need to know literature and understand the intricate workings of the aristocracy before you watch it. The main character was amazingly portrayed and I feel as though the eng dub added even further emotional workings to him. It represented the orignal book The Count of Monte Christo very well and kept my attention. Boy I wish I could talk about it forever.

9.50 (excellent) xtremely sad. that's all I can really say. These two children are amazing for surviving as long as they did. As tears streamed down my face during their last moments I began to reflect on my own life and how much better off I am than others. This tragic story of a brother and his little sister will touch your heart, I guarantee it! Yes it's sad and even depressing, but it's also a depiction of the struggle of what many children face and if we ignore that then... well you know.

8.00 (good) Cute but slow series. Overall good though. I watched this before I was really into yaoi and I still enjoyed it, so I think if you're not a big yaoi fan you'd still be ok with it. Anyways, it was really funny but filled with some angst that made it also exciting. Other than that though it was a typical lovestory with someone who's outgoing and stupid who gets together with someone classy and mysterious. Anyways, why is it the authors that are always rich in Japan? Do mnaga artists all have an inner desire to be rich? I mean, to the point of eneding to write about someone who DOES?

10.00 (excellent) Funniest, cutest, and most creative anime ever! I serisouly, IT IS ONE OF A KIND. If only the episodes weren't so short! If each episode was 24 min. it'd probably be a regular 24 ep anime but since each ep is only 5 min. it went all the way to 100 episodes! Took forever! The art is good and the characters are so cute. Whoever made the series must have really studied history and I admire someone like that. I also learned quite a bit about different countries from it, haha. GermanyxItaly FTW! <3

7.00 (above average) I find it disgusting that the series makes a game of death. People say it's about friendship and trust but I really just think that's a sorry excuse to fake a plot. I mean, come on, what was the point of the whole anime? The art was weird and crappy. The characters were all what I like to say "over-filtered" (stuffed with too many qualities) and the plot was just... ew. I know it appeals to A LOT of people and some people like the gore, think the art portrays the gruesome tale, yeah whatever, it was a crappy series in my opinion, a sorry excuse for a mystery. There wasn't enough REAL psychology in it, just a load of pseudopsychology and unexplained things. Second season wasn't any better it just tried to justify the crappiness of the first season.
